Dear PS20 Community,

Thanks to all who were able to join the Space Club Play Date fundraiser this past Friday.

Kudos to all our volunteers and generous bakers who contributed to our Marathon Day + Election Day Bake Sales last week! With proceeds from the bake sales & direct donations from our amazing community, we have already raised almost $7,500 for our Mutual Aid campaign (!!) with which the PTA has purchased grocery store gift cards to share with our underresourced families. 

THIS WEEK

  • Wed Nov 12 at 8am or 6pm: Grade 5 Parents/Guardians Meeting (in person!)
  • Thu Nov 13 at 6pm: Families & School Monthly Meeting (in person)
  • Fri Nov 14 - Tue Nov 18: 5th Grade Committee Double Good Popcorn Fundraiser

  • Tue Nov 18: Chat and Chew with Principal Blyden
  • Thu Nov 20: Half-day / Early Dismissal for Student-led Conferences ➡️ All students dismissed at 11:40am
  • Fri Nov 21: Families as Learning Partners + Spirit Day (wear your PS20 gear) + 5th Grade Committee Breakfast Pop-up Sale

PTA COMMITTEE UPDATES/REMINDERS

Looking for ways to engage with the school more? Many of the activities and programs that make PS20 special are created and directly managed (and paid for!) by you, the PS20 community, through our various committees. Any amount of contribution is welcome whether that’s with ideas, time, elbow grease or money!

  • Utopia Lab is open!  Parents — we want YOU in the lab, too!​ This year, we’re on a mission to bring more parents into the STEAM fun. If you love science, tech, art, or just being creative, join our STEAM Committee!
