Dear PS20 Community, 

Shanah tovah to those who celebrate! And thanks to everyone who was able to attend the Brooklyn FC game yesterday - even though they didn't get the W it was a wonderful day in Coney Island and we raised money for the school.

This week, take a minute to go through your closets for any Fall & Winter clothing and apparel in good condition that could find a new home and drop them off at the bins by the main office. Collecting costumes, too!

• Breast Cancer Awareness Month + Donation Drive: October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month! Did you know -- every year 1 in 8 women and approximately 2,670 men will be diagnosed with breast cancer in the United States alone. Each October, the students at PS20 participate in a friendly fundraiser competition. Please allow your children to bring in spare change - all monies collected will be donated to the American Cancer Society in the Clinton Hill School's name. This year we will separate the grades into two groups: 3K-Grade 1 and Grades 2-5 -- the class in each group that raises the highest amount by November 3 will have the choice of either a Pizza Party or an Ice Cream Party. Most years our school has donated over $2,000 to support Breast Cancer Research and Awareness! * On Fridays we will wear Pink to support Breast Cancer Awareness.  * During the last week of October we will have the Clinton Hill Breast Cancer Awareness Walk.  Classes and or grades are asked to design signs and chants to support this effort.  Thanking you in advance for your support!
