Dear PS20 Community,

We hope everyone had a lovely and inspiring time at least week's Brotherhood Celebration - the Auditorium performances were streamed via Instagram Live and the videos are posted ➡️ www.instagram.com/ps20pta. 

Thanks to all who were able to support the Lunar New Year / Spring Festival celebration of Asian cultures hosted by the International and Multicultural Families Committee last Thursday! 

Tomorrow is the final day to order your pies for Pi(e) Day.

 

ANNOUNCEMENTS

  • Get ready for the PS20 Read-a-Thon Fundraiser hosted by the Library Committe!  Read up on how to prepare and send out letters for donations to support your reader ➡️ www.ps20.org/readathon

  • Picture Day Proofs are here! Most students should have received a paper proof with a unique access code. Head to the Stomping Ground portal to check them out or sign up for a retake/sibling photo session, scheduled for March 27.  ➡️  https://iloveschoolpictures.com/PS20 

  • Studio in a School is wrapping up their residency for the school year at PS20. Being able to bring on SiAS was only made possible thanks to YOUR donations to the PTA. Please consider continuing to support the PTA to enable this type of programming for the coming years. ➡️  www.ps20.org/donate

  • Mon March 3: Order deadline for our Pie Day YUMraiser with Four & Twenty Blackbirds - offering free delivery to school on March 14, just in time for Pi Day ➡️ www.ps20.org/pieday  
  • Tue March 4: Optional Cap & Gown Photos for Grades K + 5 only
  • Thu March 6: No School for Student-Led Conferences ➡️ Day camps are being offered by both Kaleidoscope and Mosaic.

PTA COMMITTEE UPDATES/REMINDERS

  • Come by the Community Closet for coats, boots & shoes every Wednesday, Thursday and Friday after drop-off from 8:30am-9:30am in Room 126.  Get lice combs + shampoo kits! (as always, all items are free).   

  • STEAM Committee is excited to announce the re-opening of the Utopia Lab in the Spring! ➡️  Join the committee if you're interested in helping with activating this maker space with programming & activities for our students. 

ONGOING

  • Do your part for a lice-free school! Please try to regularly and thoroughly check of your students' hair for head lice -- treatments are most effective when done twice within the same week. The Community Closet keeps a stock of free lice combs + shampoo kits.   • Seeking auction items for our annual Spring Fundraiser ➡️ https://ps20.org/gala. This year, the fundraiser will be a community dance party inviting all families, children and friends. ➡️ Join the Love Ball Committee to make our Spring fundraising party and auction the best yet! fund@ps20.org 

  • Lost & Found is at capacity! Please check the racks and bins located between the Gym & the Cafeteria for jackets, hats, gloves, water bottles and more.
