The International Families Committee happily invites the entire PS20 community for a Brazilian Carnival celebration on Thursday, January 25th, from 3 to 5pm, at the PS20 gym.

We will have a Brazilian drumming workshop for the kids, a samba dance lesson with Ms. Cassimiro and a carnival headdress making workshop.

Carnival is celebrated in Brazil every February with lots of joy, dancing and music, so we would like to share this tradition with our kids and parents, so we can have a fun time together!

As with all International Families Committee events, if families are able to, we ask families to bring a typical snack from their culture to share. Come and celebrate with us! Join our International Families Committee Konstella group too.

The PS20 International Families Committee holds monthly events to celebrate our cultural diversity and works to support immigrant families throughout their school experience in NY. We are part of our school's Justice, Equity, Diversity and Inclusion (JEDI) Committee.
