Q: When can I read until?
A: 11:59pm Sunday March 8
Q: When is the deadline for entering reading sessions online?
A: All minutes must be entered by 11:59pm Monday March 9 - that’s tomorrow - in order to be included in the final tally.
Q: Is it too late to send donation request emails and get a PS20 read-a-thon bag tag?
A: No! You can still share with friends and families on the For Our School website. The final batch of bag tags will be distributed this week. Help us reach our fundraising goal of $20k - we're almost there!
Q: Do I need to turn in my paper reading log?
A: NOT if you are entering minutes on the For Our School website, and we highly recommend you use the website. Do not turn in your paper reading log if you have been transferring your minutes to the website.
Q: How do I turn in my paper reading log?
A: If you are using the paper log instead of the website, a parent or teacher signature is required. Give it to your classroom teacher or put it in the orange drop box in the main office by 4pm Monday March 9.
Q: Is it too late to switch from paper to online logging?
A: No! You can still sign up on For Our School before the event ends today and enter all of your minutes from your paper log.
Q: When will we know the final results?
A: The Literacy Committee will tally, check and double check all of the minutes and announce the final results by the end of the week on Konstella and on the leaderboards in the main hallway.
Q: When will the winning classes get their ice cream party?
A: Ice cream parties will be scheduled with teachers in the next few weeks.
Happy Reading!

The PS20 Read-A-Thon seeks to encourage a love of reading in our students through friendly, collaborative competition. Between Friday, February 27 - Sunday, March 8, 2026 students and families will record every minute the student spends reading outside of school hours on the For Our School website. We also encourage you to use the For Our School portal to request donations from friends and family to support the library and school-wide literacy programs.
Last year we raised over $18k and added more than 900 books to the library! This year our goal is $20k!
