Dear PS 20 Families:
As you may have already heard during the Mayor’s press conference, the start of school has changed. The Chancellor is preparing a letter for families regarding the new re-opening date. As soon as I receive the Chancellor’s formal notification, I will share it with you. In the meantime, continue to visit the DOE’s website—https://schools.nyc.gov for updates.
Here is what is currently appearing on the DOE web page:
September 8, 2020- All staff report to their schools for professional learning and staff development.
Wednesday September 16, 2020 through Friday September 18, 2020- All students will reconnect to their school community, learn the health and safety procedures, check technical connectivity and have wellness checks with their teachers and guidance staff.
September 21, 2020- All schools will begin full-day teaching and learning.
- Students in blended learning (combination of in-person and remote) will begin to report to buildings, depending on their in-person schedule.
- Students in 100% remote learning will all begin full-day learning.
