Science Fair Thanks & District 13 Science Fair
Sun, Apr 12 8:00pm

Good Morning Families,

I hope that everyone enjoyed the break. I would like to first congratulate all participants in PS 20's 2026 Science Fair.  I think it's fair to say that all visitors were blown away by the inventive, engaging, and well-done projects at the fair.

I learned so much through these projects - which batteries I should buy, which beverages will stain my teeth, how to remove laundry stains effectively, how to make all natural skin products, and what's the best postal service for shipping fragile items. (I literally had that exact question typed in a tab on my phone at the time of the fair because I needed to ship something, and yes indeed I went with the results of the project and picked FedEx!)

A big thank you to all family members, friends, and community members who supported our young scientists. Thank you to all the Science Fair volunteers - we could not have done it without you!

A special thank you to Julie-Ann Cavallo-Fleming.  I cannot even begin to describe all of the things that you did to make this event a success!  We are so grateful for all that you do.

Please find below the three Science Fair projects that will be moving on to the District 13 Science Fair.  The District 13 Science Fair takes place on Wednesday, May 20th at PS  287 from 2pm-7pm. We wish all members of Team PS 20 the best of luck in this upcoming competition.

Loic Longpre, Nash del Rio, Jeremiah Dimoh - Building Stone Resistance to Acid Rain

Parker Slife- What Type of Pollution Has the Most Effect on Amphibian Eggs?

Rio Medina Masterson- Can You Protect a Raw Egg From Breaking When it is Dropped From a 15 Floor Balcony?

Wishing everyone a great week.

Best Regards,

Ms. Jessica
