We're looking forward to cheering on all the students and organizers at Friday's Social Justice Run!
This benefit run at Fort Greene Park is an opportunity opportunity for the PS20 community to come together to teach our children about social justice, activism and protest and how they can work to make a positive impact within their community. Our goal is to raise funds for the PTA’s Justice, Equity, Diversity & Inclusion (JEDI) Fund. This marathon-style fundraiser will be led by the Founder of Define New York Run Club and Co-Founder of Running to Protest, activist and runner, and PS20 parent Coffey. Don't forget to have your students' fill out their sponsorship form(s), and/or you can donate directly by texting “PS20JEDI" to 44-321 or going to going to the JEDI Campaign Fundraising Site.
As a reminder, the schedule for each class is below. Please note: each class will assemble outside PS 20 approximately 10-15 minutes before their "start time" and then will march together to Fort Greene Park for their Group run. So Group 1 will assemble outside the school around 8:45am; Group 2 around 9:45am; Group 3 around 11am. If you have any questions about timing, please reach out to your teacher and/or class parents!
