Dear P.S. 020 Clinton Hill at 225 ADELPHI STREET Community:
There are currently NINE cases logged in to the DOE Situation Room. This number includes students and staff members. Positive test results for all 9 cases were sent to the DOE Situation Room. Thanking you all for getting the lab reports to me in a timely manner, however these cases are still considered "potential” until they are confirmed by the DOE Situation Room. I am still awaiting case numbers and confirmation for 8 of the nine cases.
If your child is feeling ill PLEASE keep them at home. Children were sent to the isolation room with Covid like symptoms throughout the day yesterday. Each child interviewed indicated that they told a care taker they were feeling unwell before coming to school. This is unacceptable under the current circumstances. Please do not send your child to school if they have symptoms. Be assured that we are taking every precaution to prevent the spread of COVID-19, including ensuring that anyone who feels sick in the school building isolates until they can leave the school. If you are aware of your child being exposed to a positive case of Covid-19, please isolate your child and get a Covid test. Do not sent your child to school.
It’s up to all of us to help keep our school community safe and healthy. Please continue to stay home if sick, stay at least 6 feet away from people who are not members of your household, wear a face covering, and practice healthy hand hygiene.
