Put some Arts in S.T.E.M and make some S.T.E.A.M! Yeah!
S.T.E.A.M is the abbreviation for Science, Technology, Engineering, Art & Math.
It’s an integrated approach to learning that encourages students to think more broadly about real-world problems. The growing movement towards a STEAM framework in grades both primary and higher education is gaining traction and for good reason.
Students who are taught under a STEAM framework are not just taught the subject matter but they are taught how to learn, and how to ask questions, and how to experiment
and how to create.
Through amazing projects that incorporate Art into Science, Technology, Engineering,
Art & Math, our children will learn to :
question like a scientist
design like a technologist/architect
build like an engineer
create like an artist
deduce like a mathematician
Here at P.S. 20 , everyone is invited to join this STEAM committee: teachers, staff, parents, grand-parents and guardians.
All talents are wanted, to join the train and go full STEAM ahead at P.S. 20 :)
All aboard! The STEAM@ps20.org is on the move!
