The After-school Committee researches and expands affordable and accessible after-school options to present to the school for contracted on-site care providers and develops a comprehensive list of off-site providers with parameters who pick up at the school for PS 316 families. This committee builds relationships and maintains clear lines of communication with the providers contracted by administration and supports after-school on-site residencies in music and chess. This year, key focuses for the after-school committee are to develop a parent guide to after-school programming at PS 316, provide parent support for after-school specific questions and issues, and collaborate with the fundraising committee to develop opportunities to supplement after-school care with PTA scholarships and corporate partnerships and grants.
