The Recruiting Committee establishes benchmarks for recruiting goals and best practices that support PS 316 diversity initiatives, creates a timeline and framework for annual recruiting, supports school tours, open houses, online information sessions/prospective parent forums, ground-based in-person outreach, relationship building with local daycares and preschool that have the potential to feed into 316, and determine bussing options, fees, and parameters. This year, the recruiting committee will focus efforts on expanding into eastern Crown Heights, focusing on unzoned districts and underserved areas within a three-mile radius of the school, utilizing neighborhood demographics and local school information to focus recruiting efforts.
