The Volunteer Committee coordinates with the PTA, PTA committees, and school administration to manage all aspects of volunteering and the volunteer process at PS 316. The committee is responsible for establishing community volunteer guidelines and securing, briefing, checking in, and managing any volunteers for committee-specific and school-wide PTA initiatives/events. The committee will also develop and maintain a skill-specific database of parent volunteers, develop and manage the school system for DOE cleared parent volunteers to work within the school and coordinate with the school safety team to establish volunteer guidelines for safety, liability, and on-site conduct. This committee also observes committee participation levels and parent PTA involvement, recruiting additional parent volunteers where needed.
