No matter where you live in D15 there's something fantastic happening this month.

 

Now until March 31, 2019 - National Youth Preparedness Council.  Congresswoman Nydia Velázquez would like to share a wonderful opportunity for students in the 8th - 11th grade to represent their Region, if they recently lived through a storm/natural.  For more information please visit their website.  Applications are due by March 31.  Flyer is attached.

Tuesday, March 19 at 6:30 p.m. - CEC15 Calendar Meeting.  Please join us as we discuss Curriculum and Assessment Based Learning in our district.  Representatives from the Department of Education will also present the Fair Student Funding.  And offer feedback on a CEC15 Resolution. Flyer is attached.

Saturday, March 30 from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. - 35th Annual GreenThumb GrowTogether Conference.  Join NYC Parks GreenThumb as they celebrate their 35th annual GrowTogether and kicking-off the community gardening season in New York City!  The day will be packed with workshops on garden related topics and activities including a seed swap, kids' activities, vegetable growing techniques, and new lunchtime meetups and intensives.  This event will be free, but lunch will not be provided with the free ticket.  However, you can purchase bagged lunch from CUNY's caterer in advance and pick it up on site.  Lunch will not be sold on the day of the event.  Lunch includes a sandwich, salad, cookie and water. Vegan lunches will be available.  Space is limited.  Register by March 28.
