On Friday, October 27, children are encouraged to dress as their favorite character from a book they love.

This is not a Halloween celebration no swords or weapons of any kind should be brought to school,  but it’s a playful way for the kids to get to know each other and learn about their friends’ favorite book character.

Teachers are encouraged to dress as their favorite character, too ,and to incorporate Character Day into their reading, writing, science, social studies, or any other lessons or discussions during the school day.
