Join CEC15 for our monthly Calendar Meeting on Tues, Nov 19, 6 pm at P.S.58, enter on Carroll Street
Mon, Nov 18 7:53am
All of our meetings are open to the public, and all members of D15 schools communities are welcome and encouraged to attend.

We'll start the meeting at 6 pm with a few Business related items, including hearing about a proposed name change for PS 24. Superintendent Skop will give the District 15 Report, and representatives from the Department of Education will provide an update on school rezoning through a Participatory Action Research (PAR) process.

The D15 community and CEC15 requested that the DOE provide more time to hear from as many voices as possible, and to further empower communities. On Oct. 22, the DOE announced that they would delay the proposal for the rezoning Sub-Zone 3 elementary schools and engage in a PAR process. A formal proposal, for implementation in the 2021-22 school year, will likely be presented to the CEC in the Spring of 2020 when a vote will occur.
