Letter from Rosa Amato

Good evening TCS families and Staff,

I hope you all enjoyed your recess and that your children will return healthy and well-rested this week.  I am writing this evening with a few reminders related to COVID-19 and our re-opening tomorrow, February 22, 2021.

During the February month, we received many reports of positive cases and/or cases of members of the community that were in close contact with a positive case causing staff, children and families to quarantine for 10 days.   These reports continued through this past week while  school was on recess as I received too many calls and emails regarding positive cases.  I ask that we all make certain to follow the guidelines that are in place as it is important to keep our school open and our community members safe.

With weekend activities and return from vacation, please be reminded of the COVID-19 testing and quarantine requirements for out-of-state travel (link posted below).  The school will have random testing this week for 20% students and  20% staff.

If activities over the latter part of the recess have increased your child's risk of exposure,  please monitor your child carefully for the early signs of COVID-19 which include fever, headache, runny nose, lethargy, scratch throat and stomach aches.  If your child is exhibiting any of these symptoms , please keep your child home until symptom free.

Tomorrow, February 22, 2021 is a  Group B day.

Thank you in advance for our cooperation with the COVID-19 protocols.

Respectfully,

Rosa Amato
