School Health Policy Updates
Fri, Sep 2 12:15pm
Dear Families:

We are excited to welcome you all back to school on 9/8/22! Before then, we wanted to share COVID-19 Protocol Updates from the NYC Department of Education Chancellor.

Covid testing: PCR Tests in school are no longer being conducted. We do have tests kits -  staff and students will receive 4 tests per month to take home. These tests can be used by school families for testing due to symptoms, exposures, high risk activity (such as travel and large gatherings).  Students and Staff will continue to be given tests if they are deemed to be a close contact of someone who tests positive for COVID.

Masks: Masks are not required (but strongly recommended indoors) unless you test positive. Everyone must wear a mask from day 6-10 after testing positive.

Health Screeners No longer required

Reporting of Cases: We are still reporting positive cases to the NYC DOE Situation Room. Please let us know if your child tests positive.

School Visitor Policy: All visitors must show proof of at least one dose of the COVID-19 vaccination to enter a DOE school building. Visitors do not include students attending school or school related activities in a DOE school building.
