Second Chance Toys
Earth Day is April 22nd and The Children’s School is teaming up with Second Chance Toys to help our environment!!
Second Chance Toys' vision:
"Our goal is to create a movement dedicated to donating toys to children in need and keeping them out of landfills so that local communities in the U.S. and beyond are participating in our collections".
We will be collecting your gently used CLEAN plastic toys, books, and puzzles. Your unwanted plastic toys, puzzles and books will be donated to children who do not have any toys. So put aside all the plastic toys you no longer play, books you no longer read, and puzzles (with all pieces)
Beginning April 8th to April 18th please drop off the toys in the bins at the following locations at our school:
- School Safety Desk
- 1st and 2nd Floor of the Main Building
- PreK/Kindergarten Floor in the Recreation Building
Please make sure items are clean, that they have no small or missing pieces or parts, that all batteries work (place any loose pieces in a plastic bag and tape them to the toy).
Help keep plastics out of our landfills and help children in need at the same time. It is so easy to be Good and Green!
I have also attached a fun activity booklet for Earth Week.
If you have any questions please do not hesitate to contact me.
