Hello Children's School Families:
Hope all is well.
The Children's School Field Day will take place on Wednesday, May 17 and Thursday, May 18 at JJ Byrne Park located on 4th Avenue and 3rd Street.
Field Day is when our ICT and 6:1:1 sites get together and participate in relay races with each other.
Parents are invited to join us and cheer on the students.
If this is your first Field Day we hope that you can join us. This is a fun school community building event. We hope to begin by 10am(both days)
Just a few things to know;
- Wednesday May 17 PreK to 2nd grade students; 6:1:1 students from Adelphi Street Campus
- Thursday, May 18 3rd, 4th and 5th grade students; 6:1:1 students from Adelphi Street Campus
- Please make sure your child arrives at school on time. All students must be in school by 8:20am. Please do not bring them to JJ Byrne, bring them directly to school so that attendance is taken.
- Students should wear sneakers. No open toe shoes, no flip flops and no dressy shoes. They will be running on a turf field.
- Our students will depart 512 Carroll Street at 9:30 and walk to the park. They will return to school at 12:30pm.
- We will have lunch in the park. Please pack a lunch for your child. If your child has school lunch we will bring cold school lunches for those students who take school lunch.
- Dress accordingly to the weather that day. All students will receive a field day shirt to wear.
- Parents; please meet us on the 4th Avenue side of the park. You may bring snacks for your child and a blanket to sit on.
- All students will return to school after field day activities. We will not dismiss any students from the park.
