Become a Class Parent for your class!
Tue, Sep 10 8:50am

Dear Parents and Guardians,

Welcome to the 2019-2020 school year at P.S. 10!

We are excited to reach out to you for this opportunity to support your child’s teacher and strengthen parent involvement in our school. We need 1-2 parents from each classroom to volunteer.

Class parents help their classroom teachers with tasks such as recruiting chaperones for trips, disseminating class specific information through Konstella, maintaining the class calendar, encouraging parents to get involved in PTA events, and organizing the end of the year picnic and teacher gifts. Class parents also organize the class contributions to the Teacher’s Feast and secure volunteers for recess during the assigned weeks.

Even if you do not have time to regularly be at school, you can still be a great class parent! Konstella allows you to easily communicate with parents and support your teacher and organize your classroom community digitally and on the go.

If you would like to be a Class Parent, please request to do so with your child’s teacher (even if you were a class parent last year). The teacher will identify who will be the class parent(s). Once the teacher has confirmed with you, please join the class parent committee on Konstella and message us there, letting us know your class and that you are confirmed as class parent. You will then be invited to register as a room lead for your classroom which will enable you to post and edit events in Konstella among other things.

Thank you for your help in supporting our school and keeping us all connected!
