PS10 BARNES & NOBLE BOOKFAIR – December 17
Come join us at Park Slope's Barnes & Noble, 267 Seventh Ave, Dec 17, 10am to 4pm. We've lined up author appearances by PS10 parents Joshua David Stein, Selina Alko, Melissa Walker and AnnMarie Anderson, as well as by author and friend of PS10 Jessie Sima; a fun crafts table; a place for kids to write and post recommendations of their favorite books; and book-character face painting, among other events.
Besides purchasing books for family, friends, yourself and your child’s classroom to benefit the school, you can take part in the fun. Sign up on Konstella to pitch in. Help wrap gifts, hand out vouchers or assist with the crafts table. Or volunteer yourself or your child for some entertainment (and let us know what that might be, via Konstella or emailing email@example.com). Can't be there? Shop online at BN.com/bookfairs, Dec 17–22, using bookfair ID 12233946, and pass the code on to family and friends for them to use. Also check out the event on Facebook as well.
PTA GENERAL MEETING – December 21
The next PTA General meeting will be on December 21 at 6pm in the auditorium. All parents and guardians are welcome. Lice Free Noggins will be on hand for a workshop and will address lice detection, myths vs facts, prevention and more. There will be free childcare (for children in Pre-K and above) and free pizza for the kids. Please come out to hear the latest from the PTA.
LICE CHECK UPDATE
The PTA is also happy to announce our very first in-school lice check will occur next week. We run several checks per year and ask each family to please donate $10 per child. This donation helps our school to combat lice in our classrooms. For more information about lice, visit: https://www.cdc.gov/parasites/lice/head/gen_info/faqs.html

Cash and checks should be sent in care of Eileen Fallon in room 210, please ensure that your check and/or cash envelope fully state the name of your child and classroom. All monies for the Senior Dues must be in by January 30, 2018.
DIVERSITY COMMITTEE is gearing up to plan the annual International Potluck Dinner. If you’re interested in helping to plan this event please sign-up for the Committee on Konstella or come to one of the weekly meetings, on Wednesdays.
