REMINDER: Grandparents Day – May 11th
Let’s welcome all of the grandparents and other important adults in our children’s lives to PS 10 the morning of May 11th. All attendees will be able to visit their child’s classroom, complete a special project together and enjoy a hot breakfast and coffee reception. There will also be an opportunity to take special photographs with your child. Please fill out the form sent home in the yellow folders and return to school, it’s attached to this email as well. A volunteer sign-up sheet will be posted to help out that day with Grandparents Day and the Flower Sale.
NEW: Mother’s Day & Grandparents Sale – May 11th
Please send your child in with $1 for the flower sale on May 11th. We will also have have small items and keepsakes for children to purchase ranging from $1-$5. Sales for both will happen through the school day and at pickup.
REGISTRATION CONTINUES - The Brooklyn PTA Fun Run, May 12th at 10am
The PTA 5K Fun Run* has brought together hundreds of parents, teachers, and students from scores of Brooklyn schools and beyond to run/walk/stroll/toddle 5-kilometers through Prospect Park for over a decade. Participants pay a registration fee ($20/individual, $5 for each additional family member up to 5) and may raise additional money through sponsors. *This is an untimed event.

S.T.E.A.M Fair 2018 - Call for Volunteers! Our 4th annual S.T.E.A.M Fair is scheduled for May 19th and we need your help! Join the S.T.E.A.M Fair Committee on Konstella. For questions, please contact firstname.lastname@example.org. The event is May 19th, and there's a lot of organizing to do now. We welcome all volunteers. CEC D15 DIVERSITY PLAN PUBLIC WORKSHOP #3, SATURDAY, MAY 12th, 12pm
Public Workshop #3 will provide community members the opportunity to share their ideas and feedback on initial ideas and recommendations to create more diverse, meaningfully integrated middle schools in District 15. Parents, students, teachers, staff and administrators are all encouraged to attend.

LOST & FOUND – UNCLAIMED ITEMS TO BE DISCARDED THIS FRIDAY!
The lost and found area has been completely cleared. Going forward items left over on the bi-weekly collection dates will be donated or discarded. We will make every effort to return articles of clothing to students, and adults, but we are unable to hold items out of concern for cleanliness and sanitation. Please help us to keep our school clean and label all your children’s clothing.
PARENT RESOURCE AREA
The PTA has a parent resource station consisting of a computer and printer for parent use outside of the PTA office in the cafeteria. This area is also where you can find hardcopy forms, signup sheets, and community information from the PTA. Also, please clear the area as items will be discarded this weekend.
PS 10 GRAND READERS PROGRAM
Join us in the PS 10 Library on Thursday mornings to read with our students! All you need to do is show up! We welcome the gift of your time and attention. This event will be every Thursday from 8:30-10:30 AM. Don’t forget to bring your ID to enter the building.
