REMINDER: PS10’S GOT TALENT IS THIS SATURDAY MARCH 10TH!
2nd & 3rd Grade Show - 3pm (doors at 2:30)
4th & 5th Grade Show - 5:30pm (doors at 5:00)
Tickets are $5 at the door for each show.
(Tickets will also be on sale at the dress rehearsals March 7, 4:30-7:30 and March 8, 4:30-7:30)
*After the 3pm show, we ask that everyone help us by exiting the auditorium so we can quickly prep for the next show. The cafe will be open in the cafeteria in between shows.
*Please donate to the concession stand! We need hot dog buns, baked goods, fruit, individual snacks, and drinks. Mark your donation “Talent Show” and drop off on the stage in the auditorium anytime before 2pm Saturday March 10.

*Families who have children participating: The lineup and dress rehearsal times will be emailed Monday March 5. Please check for the email.
REMINDER – TEACHER CONFERENCES ON MARCH 15TH – HALF DAY DISMISSAL
On March 15th there will be a half day dismissal at 11:40pm. There will be no academic afterschool or PS10 PTA Extended Day activities that day either.
NEW - TEACHER APPRECIATION FEAST – MARCH 15TH
The Spring Staff Appreciation Feast is coming soon on Thursday, March 15th, the day of parent/teacher conferences. Please save the date and sign up to contribute food and volunteer at the feast. Your class parent will organize your class. Each class is assigned a component of the feast to contribute and your class parent will create a sign up for your class. The staff has a very long day during conferences and they love this PS10 tradition. Our fall Staff Appreciation Feast was amazing. The family contributions were so delicious and generous and thoughtful. Thank you in advance for making this spring feast just as special. Please consider signing up to help out at the feast. NEW - IT'S THE RETURN OF THE PS10 HAPPY HOUR – WEDNESDAY MARCH 21ST
When: Wednesday, March 21, 5:30–8:30pm
Where: Skylark Bar, 477 Fifth Ave, at 11th St
What: Combat spring fever with refreshing beverages, community spirit and fun tunes spun by PS10 parents Sean Qualls and Paul Kennedy. Drink tickets $6 each, available at the door; half the proceeds go to PS10 PTA, the other half support a PS10 family business. Adults only; bring friends!

Please join us for an open discussion on the ways we talk (and don’t talk!) to our children, peers and community about race.
This workshop will involve small group discussions, role-playing and other interactive formats, providing practical strategies for these important and often

READ-A-THON – DONATION LOGS DUE MONDAY!!
Congratulations on the end of the 2018 Read-a-thon! The last day to read and log minutes was Friday, March 2. Read-a-thon logs and donations are due MONDAY, March 5. Students must turn in their reading log to be eligible for prizes!
Please tally up your child’s minutes read and dollars raised for the month, and fill in the rainbow sticker on the outside of the Read-a-thon envelope. Then place all checks and the donation log in the envelope and return to your child’s teacher. If you know a sponsor made an online donation in your child’s name, please note that on the donation log. Include the reading log as well if you used it. If you used Moxie reader for some or all of your minute tracking, please note the TOTAL minutes read for the month on the rainbow sticker on the outside of the envelope. As a reminder, all checks should be written to the PS 10 PTA. Questions? Email email@example.com.

D15 DIVERSITY PLAN: PUBLIC WORKSHOP #2 – MARCH 13TH
Please join us for the 2nd Public Workshop of the D15 Diversity Plan – A DOE-led community planning process, as part of the Equity and Excellence for All initiative, aimed at increasing diversity in District 15’s middle schools. The Workshop will continue the effort to create diverse, meaningfully integrated middle schools in D15 - from Sunset Park to Park Slope to Red Hook and the neighborhoods in between.

LOST & FOUND
The lost and found area has been completely cleared. Going forward items left over on the bi-weekly collection dates will be donated or discarded. We will make every effort to return articles of clothing to students, and adults, but we are unable to hold items out of concern for cleanliness and sanitation. Please help us to keep our school clean and label all your children’s clothing.
PARENT RESOURCE AREA
The PTA has a parent resource station consisting of a computer and printer for parent use outside of the PTA office in the cafeteria. This area is also where you can find hardcopy forms, signup sheets, and community information from the PTA.
PS 10 GRAND READERS PROGRAM
Join us in the PS 10 Library on Thursday mornings to read with our students! All you need to do is show up! We welcome the gift of your time and attention. This event will be every Thursday from 8:30-10:30 AM. Don’t forget to bring your ID to enter the building.
