PS10 Read-a-thon Donations & Logs Due TUESDAY, March 5th
Tuesday is now the day (snow day delays) to hand in your child’s reading and donation logs. Please fill out all of the information on the front of your envelope, it helps us so much with the tallying. Then send your envelopes back to school through your teachers’ yellow folders. Prize announcements will come later in March. We are still accepting donations online or via check! Visit this link to donate online. Tea Collection School Fundraiser – March 4th -11th

Tickets are on-sale now and we want to get the groups organized ASAP. It’s a fun adult only dinner party, where each course will be held at a different neighboring PS10 Family home, with everyone convening for desert, at one final location!

Weds, March 13th| NYS ELA/Math Testing Meeting – 8:30am and 6:00pm
PS10 Administration and Teachers are hosting a conversation about the ELA and Math Testing for Grades 3,4, and 5. Principal Laura Scott, Literacy Coach David Simmons, and Teacher Lyabode Robinson will host and lead the discussion. ELA and Math Testing for Grades 3,4 and 5 will be discussed, questions are welcome. All parents and caregivers may attend.

Thurs, March 14th|Teacher Appreciation Feast – Sign Up to Volunteer!
Our SPRING TEACHER APPRECIATION FEAST is on Parent Teacher Conference Day and we need your helping hands! More information regarding the feast and specific class assignments are on the way via yellow folders and Konstella. In the meantime, you can sign up to help the day of the feast here! Class parents will be organizing direct donations in the form of homemade and ordered meals from each classroom. Each classroom will be assigned a specific part of the meal. Conferences are such a long and hard day for the school, and the meals and treats offered go a long way and really show how much we value our amazing team of teachers, administrators, and staff! Please help say thank you by volunteering for even just a small part of your day!

The PTA’s Parent Action Committee welcomes you to join us in discussing the upcoming NY State tests for grades 3-5. We’ll address issues including test refusal (including how to "opt out"), changes in tests and middle school admissions. We’ll have a morning and evening meeting to accommodate more participants.

Lunch & Recess Volunteers – IMPORTANT - PLEASE SIGN UP FOR YOUR VOLUNTEER WEEK
We have rolled out a new school wide parent volunteer program which will run from January 7 to March 30, 2019. We need to add helping hands to support PS10 staff during each lunch and recess period in the winter months.
To secure parent volunteers for each lunch and recess period we have set up a school wide schedule for volunteering. Each P.S. 10 class will be assigned a specific week for which they should try to provide volunteers. A total of three classes per week will share in the work of supervising lunch and recess. We have three lunch periods every day between 11am -2 pm. We will need at least 2-3 parents for each lunch/recess period. Please check with your class parent for more information or reach out to the class parent co-chairs on Konstella. Please sign up for your recess/lunch period at this link.

PS 10 is collecting Box Tops!
Looking for an easy way to raise money for PS 10? PS 10 is collecting Box Tops throughout the school year and all the proceeds go to the PTA’s general fund to support enrichment activities for the students. Box Tops coupons can be found on many groceries including Lara Bar, Annie’s, Ziploc, Papermate, various cereals, and many more. Please clip any Box Tops dated after 11/1/18 and put them in the collection box located outside the PTA office. If your child wants to make a fun project out of collecting, go to this link to print out a collection sheet or grab one outside the PTA office.
Lost & Found!
Please remember to come and check for your child’s lost items in the back of the auditorium. We will eventually sort and give away clothes that are not picked up. Additionally, a reminder if you’re tired of losing your child's lunchbox, gloves, coats, water bottles, sweatshirts, hats, backpacks, school supplies, etc you can purchase some labels through the Mabel’s Labels Fundraiser for PS10. Avoid rifling through the lost and found this year and support PS10 at the same time by fundraising with Mabel's Labels! To purchase your labels, visit this link.
