Orientation Zoom Meetings This Week
Tue, Sep 15 10:43am

Good morning families,

All of the PS10 classes will host daily orientation meetings for students this week on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday. The meetings are being scheduled in the mornings. Families will receive an email directly from their child's classroom teacher later today with details about the exact time, zoom links and directions for logging in.

As we shared last week students will need to use their doe accounts to log in.  Below we are sharing some detailed directions to help you log in to student doe accounts.  Thank you for your support. We appreciate your patience as our staff works to prepare to welcome your children.

Best,

PS 10 Administration

The Department of Education would like all students city wide to have the same email domain.  This will allow  your child to take their login credentials with them when they graduate and use them for High School.

This video explains in detail why the DOE is moving to a single domain:  NYCStudetnts.net

Single Sign On!

One other benefit to this change  is that students will only need one login to access all of their remote learning applications. So no more worrying about having to remember separate logins for things like Pearson, Newsela, Google Classroom, etc. Once your child logs in with their @nycstudents.net account they will be able to access these applications right from their dashboard.

To get started you will need to retrieve your NYC DOE Student Account.  It’s easy!  Follow the instructions below.

DOE Student Account Retrieval Instructions

1.   Click on the Student Account Self Service link below:

https://idm.nycenet.edu/students/start.form

2.    Enter your 9-digit Student ID (OSIS) number. (You can find your Student ID number on a report card, your student ID card, or in your Mystudent account.)

3.    Enter your birthday.

4.    Click Continue.

5.    If the information you enter matches your student record, your username will be displayed.

6.    Your student ID is your username followed by @nycstudents.net. For example, if your username is JaneD, your student account ID is JaneD@nycstudents.net.

7.    If you haven't already set up a password, you will be asked to set one up.

8.    Pick a password that only you will know.

9.    Re-enter your password.

10.  Click Update Password.
