Grandparents Day Committee Meeting, Thursday, April 19th at 8:30am in the cafeteria
TITLE 1 WORKSHOP: WHERE DID YOU HEAR THAT?! NEGOTIATING UNCOMFORTABLE CONVERSATIONS WITH KIDS ABOUT THEIR BODIES AND SEXUALITY - APRIL 17TH AT 6PM
Kids have lots of questions, especially when it comes to bodies and sexuality. Jeremy Hawkins (Chair of the Health Department at Brooklyn Friends School, graduate of Teachers College Columbia University, and Camp Life Director at Beam Camp, NH) teaches Health and Human Sexuality to grades 4-10—and has been answering those very questions for years. Jeremy will discuss the topics that young people start asking, and share his expertise around how to talk to kids about their bodies, sexuality and growing up in an increasingly complicated world. Q & A to follow.

PTA GENERAL MEETING, APRIL 19TH, 6PM IN THE AUDITORIUM
Please save the date for the next PTA General Meeting. This is an important one as we will be discussing nominations for next year’s Executive Board! We will need to fill several positions, and the PTA meeting is great place to hear more about what the board does, upcoming sprig fundraisers and how you can get more involved in the school. Please come out and join us. We will also be hearing from a new sponsor of the PS10 PTA, Industry City. They will do a quick presentation on how they can help work with our community.

FAMILY YOGA NIGHT – FRIDAY, APRIL 27TH at 6pm
PS10's Wellness Committee invites you to attend Family Yoga Nite with your child. Space is limited so please sign up and enter the number of family members attending.
Family yoga will be led by Jackie Wolff. Please bring a towel or yoga mat.

PERFORMANCES OF MULAN –WEEK OF APRIL 23RD
PS10 Theater Afterschool will be performing Mulan for the school community the week of April 23 during the school hours and the evening of April 26, 6pm.
SAVE THE DATE: Grandparents Day – May 11th
Let’s welcome all of the Grandparents and other important adults in our children’s lives to PS 10 the morning of May 11th. All attendees will be able to visit their child’s classroom and complete a special project together and enjoy a hot breakfast and coffee reception. There will also be an opportunity to take special photographs with your child. Please fill out the form sent home in the yellow folders and return to school. We will also be having a Committee Meeting, on Thursday, April 19th if anyone would like to join. A volunteer sign-up sheet will be posted to help out that day with Grandparents Day and the Flower Sale.

STEAM Fair 2018 - Call for Volunteers! Our 4th annual STEAM Fair is scheduled for May 19th and we need your help! Join the STEAM Fair Committee on Konstella. LOST & FOUND
The lost and found area has been completely cleared. Going forward items left over on the bi-weekly collection dates will be donated or discarded. We will make every effort to return articles of clothing to students, and adults, but we are unable to hold items out of concern for cleanliness and sanitation. Please help us to keep our school clean and label all your children’s clothing.
PARENT RESOURCE AREA
The PTA has a parent resource station consisting of a computer and printer for parent use outside of the PTA office in the cafeteria. This area is also where you can find hardcopy forms, signup sheets, and community information from the PTA.
PS 10 GRAND READERS PROGRAM
Join us in the PS 10 Library on Thursday mornings to read with our students! All you need to do is show up! We welcome the gift of your time and attention. This event will be every Thursday from 8:30-10:30 AM. Don’t forget to bring your ID to enter the building.
