TENSTOCK ROCKS! – Saturday, October 14th (11am – 4pm) RAIN OR SHINE We’re gearing up for an awesome day of live music, games, crafts, sports, bounce houses, face painters, yummy food, a chili cook-off and more!! The House Band will be entertaining us again this year with several kid-bands to follow. Don’t miss out on this fun-filled, family day out and make sure to bring your friends! Tickets are $10 pp or $35 for a family of 4. And don’t forget to return your Bake Sale & Chili Cook-Off sign-up sheets to the PTA office!

There are many opportunities to volunteer so please pitch-in in whatever way works for you and your family – it’s super rewarding and a ton of fun! PS10 & K280 PHOTO DAYS – Monday, October 16th & Tuesday, October 17th CALLING ALL VOLUNTEERS! Help our school and kids have an excellent experience by lending a hand on photo day. We need help at PS10 from 8:30AM – 2:30PM on October 16th & 17th, and at K280 on October 20th. Sign-ups & timeslots are on Konstella here– please give us your time! Come for an hour or come out all day – any amount of help is welcome! We need at least 10-15 volunteers each day. For questions or more info please contact Helena Palazzi (


TENTOBERFEST PUB CRAWL – Saturday, October 21st (6PM – 11PM)

Please join us for our First Annual Tentoberfest Pub Crawl – a community fundraiser supporting local establishments. We created this event so parents can mix & mingle in celebration of Octoberfest! Tickets are only $25 and $4 HAPPY HOUR LASTS ALL NIGHT LONG! Adults only. All proceeds go to helping the PTA meet the needs of our school. Raffle & swag.


FALL FROLIC COSTUME PARTY – Friday, October 27th (6PM – 9PM in PS10 Cafeteria)

The PS10 Fifth Grade Committee Presents our Fall Frolic Fundraiser and Costume Dance Party! Every grade is welcome to join in the fun – show off your costume and frolic with your friends as the cafeteria comes alive with Music, Dancing, Games, a Cafe, Crafts and More! Tickets are only $5 per person and will be on sale in the school lobby.


ROARING 20’S AUCTION/GALA – Friday, November 3rd (7PM – 11PM at Prospect Park Picnic House)

Please join us for a night of dancing, good eats, drinks, silent auction (shhhhhhh), a roaring live auction, and so much more. Dress as a gangster or silent screen star, Come as a flapper or come as you are. Themed attire not required, but highly encouraged. Speakeasy password and ticket information will be sent at a later date.



We are doing Dual Catalog Sales this year with 2 separate distributors. The CherryDale catalog is being used as a direct fundraiser for the 5th grade classes and has been distributed only in that grade. The MissChocolate catalog has been distributed to grades K - 4. Extra catalogs for both distributors are available in the PTA office and school lobby.


THE DIVERSITY PROJECT is a year–long cultural exhibit highlighting ancestors within our PS 10 families who helped to define your family’s path. Maybe you have an ancestor who was the first to vote in US elections, graduate from college, or start a family business? Email a brief story of 200 words or less telling us their name, date of birth/death, and their story of trial, triumph and tribulation along with (1) hi-resolution, scanned photo of your ancestor and (1) hi resolution, scanned photo of your student to No smartphone photos please. With your photograph, please submit a letter granting permission for use. Entries will be reviewed for inclusion in a year–long exhibit showcasing family stories and as coffee table book to be sold as a fundraiser. Third round of submissions are due November 15, 2017.  Photo scanning support available. Please participate! What a powerful affirmation of inclusion this will be for our children!


STUDENT COUNCIL DONATION DRIVE FOR PUERTO RICO The PS10 student council will be collecting donations for hurricane relief. Donations needed include:  Water Filters, Toiletries, Canned Foods, Batteries (AA, AAA), Flashlights, Women's Hygiene Products, Water, Baby Formula, Diapers, Underwear & Socks. Collections can be dropped off in the PS10 lobby until October 20, 2017


TEACHER'S FEAST is coming up soon, on November 15th. This event happens during the Parent-Teacher conferences and the parent community brings in dishes to feed our hard working teacher's on this very busy day. This year we'll also be offering 60 teachers 10 minute massages that day! We are asking all parents to donate $1-2 per child to help make this happen... simply place $1-2 in an envelope, label it "Teacher Appreciation" and place in your child's yellow folder. Please ask teachers to submit "Teacher Appreciation" donations to the PTA office.


PLASTIC BAG RECYCLING AT TENSTOCK! As part of our school-wide efforts at recycling, let us help you clean house! Bring in those plastic bags clogging up the nooks and crannies of your kitchen to Tenstock where they will then be taken to a facility for recycling.
