RE: Message from Ms. Scott

Good afternoon families,

We appreciate the value you place on teacher concerns about the reopening. However parents should also see the full picture before making this decision. If more parents opt out for remote at this time, there may be a lot more changes. Since many of our hybrid and remote classes are full, we may have to collapse classes, move students around and/or change teaching assignments. It is highly likely that we will need to add another remote class on the grade and these new remote students will be taught by a substitute. A significant change to our current plans will impact a lot more students and teachers, not just the students that decide to go remote. Every licensed teacher, including clusters, have been given a classroom assignment. We do not have space and teachers to support more groups.
