We are conducting a school-wide Lice Check immediately on return from the winter recess, unfortunately the permission slips did not make it out in time to the classes. Attached to this communication is a PDF document of the form which will allow or withhold the lice check for your child. Parents will need to complete the form in either case. Please help us with this health issue.
Encourage your children to read over the break
30 minutes a day of reading is not only a good idea, it’s a great idea. Stimulate the brain, increase intelligence, language and learning. As Dr. Seuss once said, "The more that you read, the more things you will know. The more that you learn, the more places you'll go."
Parents it’s also a great time to sit and relax and read to your children.
But wait there’s more! Of course those reading minutes count toward ‘The Wonder of Reading – 2018 PS10 Read-a-thon’. Reading logs, guides, suggestions, donation sheets, and information about the Read-a-thon may be found here.
Lost and Found
The lost and found area has been cleared. Parents are encouraged to write their children’s names on articles of clothing for return. We will make every effort to return items to child, but items that are not clearly labeled will have to be donated/discarded.
Starting March 2, 2018 we will start the 2 week clean and donation cycle for all items in the Lost and Found, we ask parents for their help in keeping the school clean, and for volunteers for this task.
Tag us with #ps10brooklyn on social media so we can see all the fun, activities, reading, and most importantly some well deserved relaxation over the break!
