This group of parents, teachers and administrators is looking comprehensively at science education at PS10, with the aim of increasing student exposure to and hands-on engagement with science from K-5. The group’s work includes helping define improvement goals with science teachers and administrators, initiating partnerships with outside science programs that offer science-classroom based residencies, mobilizing parent participation as science-classroom volunteers and parent-scientist presenters, tapping into STEM related resources available through the DOE and securing grants and corporate donations to support science learning in our school. If you’re interested or curious, or if you want to help, please join us! Kate Chumley (1st and 3rd grade parent) is the chair of this committee. AP Robert Grant is the Administration point person.
