Dear PS 107 Families,
Here is today's case update. These cases were reported to me between yesterday at 3 pm and today at 3 pm:
- 2 positive cases reported between 3 pm Wednesday and 3 pm Thursday
- Both cases involved exposure to the school community
- Wednesday's attendance was 84%. Today's attendance was 87%.
All parents whose children were in classrooms of individuals testing positive received an email (NOT a Konstella) directly from me earlier today. If they have not already received test kits from the school this week, children will bring home test kits today.
These two cases did not involve exposure to the after-school program.
Please note that if your child has recovered from COVID in the last 90 days, they do not need a test kit, and you should not administer the tests if they receive a kit. The DOE's Health Screening Questionnaire will be updated soon to reflect this possibility. If you have a test kit that you do not need, please have your child return it to school. Thank you!
The DOE's official notification letter to the community is attached.
I am pleased to see this downward trend continuing. Thank you so much for your vigilance and support of the PS 107 community!
