[SCHOOLWIDE NOTIFICATION] One Positive Case of COVID + Spring Break COVID test kit distribution
Fri, Apr 8 4:49pm

Dear PS 107 Families,

First, I'm writing to let you know that the DOE has asked schools to send home two COVID test kits (4 tests total) with every student in advance of the approaching Spring Recess. We will be distributing test kits to students next Wednesday and Thursday. If you are planning to be out of town before that, please send us a message, and we'll get your children's test kits to them in advance.

Second, in the last 24 hours, one positive case of COVID was reported to me. The individual testing positive was last in the building yesterday, Thursday, 4/7.

All families of students who shared classroom space with the individual testing positive were notified directly by me via Operoo today. Test kits were also sent home with students today. This case involved exposure to the afterschool community, and families were notified directly by Sandy Phillips. The DOE's official notification about these cases is attached.

Finally, going forward, schoolwide notifications about cases that are reported over the weekend will be sent out on Sunday evenings. Please let me know if you have any questions or concerns.

Have a lovely weekend!
