Before you head to 107's Fall Festival on 10/23 we encourage you to participate in the 13th Annual PTA Fun Run!
Council Member Brad Lander and the PTAs of Brooklyn’s public schools are coming together for the 13th annual PTA 5K+ run/walk/stroll/toddle/scoot in Prospect Park. The race will take place on Saturday, October 23 at 10 AM. Bib pickup and pre-race activities will begin at 9:00 AM.
For over a decade now, the PTA Fun Run has demonstrated the tremendous strength of our local public school communities. Parents, students, and educators have turned out in droves to show what it means to build community and work together on critical issues facing our public schools. This year will be even more special as we celebrate school reopening and our ability to gather once again as friends and neighbors after so many months of trauma and isolation. Net proceeds from your registration fee will go to our neediest schools.
The Fun Run will be a 3.3 mile loop, starting and finishing on the main park drive just outside the LeFrak Center. The run will start at 10 AM. Bib distribution and pre-race activities will begin inside the LeFrak Center starting at 9 AM. As a fun run, we welcome everyone-- young, old, experienced and not, runners, walkers, strollers, tricycles, scooters, wheelchairs-- all are invited to join!
Register now with PS 107 (you can search for the school by clicking the school or group team link at the top of the registration page) and encourage your friends and fellow school community members to do the same. See you on October 23rd!
