Aid & Action: 8 Weeks Left to Leave a Mark!
Mon, May 4 2:26pm

As we head into the final stretch of the school year, the Aid & Action Committee is looking to make one last big push for our community.

Students!  Claim your Aid & Action Ambassador Status before the end of the year!

We have so many students who are just one merit away from becoming an official Ambassador - see attached pdf. Here is how your child can clinch that final pin(s) and earn their Ambassador Status before the school year wraps up:

  • The Food Drive Pin: Join the CHiPS crew on any Wednesday morning (8:05–8:20 AM) at drop-off. Just shoot us an email ahead of time so we know to expect your volunteer!  See below for more details.

  • The Clothing Drive Pin: Help us sort and fold at the PS 124 Clothing Swap on Saturday, June 13th. A quick 20-minute volunteer shift is all it takes to earn the merit. See below for more details.
  • The Action Volunteer Pin: Join the Green Committee for a park cleanup, or design a service project of your own! Just shoot an email to juliem@ps107.org or tyghe@ps107.org to share what you/your child did and claim your pin.

Let’s see how many new Ambassadors we can celebrate by the last day of school!

Weekly CHiPS Food Drive

Our CHiPS crew is outside every Wednesday morning during drop-off to collect food donations. Contributions have been a bit light recently, so we are aiming for a strong finish!

  • How to help: Pick up an extra item or two during your weekly grocery run.
  • Make it a habit: Even a box or two of mac and cheese makes a difference when we all pitch in.
  • Merit Pin Opportunity: Students can earn their Food Drive Merit Pin by volunteering at the collection table from 8:05–8:20 AM. Please email (juliem@ps107.org) ahead of time if your child plans to join us!

Community Clothing Swap at PS 124

Date: Saturday, June 13th

Time: 10:30 AM – 12:30 PM

Location: PS 124 School Yard

This is a mutual aid event open to the entire community. You are welcome to donate clean, gently used summer clothing, "shop" for items your family needs, or both! There is no obligation to donate in order to take items home.

Ways to Participate:

  • Volunteer with your child: Help us sort and fold clothes for at least 20 minutes to earn a Clothing Drive Merit Pin.
  • Drop-off donations: If you are only dropping off, please ensure items are pre-sorted by size and gender to assist our volunteers.
  • Guidelines: Please bring only clean, in-season, high-quality items. A good rule of thumb: only donate items you would be happy to buy second-hand yourself.

Reach out with any questions—let’s make these final weeks count!
