Pledge Update

We have received 135 signed Aid & Action pledges, representing roughly 25% of our school population!  This is an incredible start, thank you for your commitment.

Still have your pledge?  Drop it off with Ms. Nadia in the main office and receive your Aid & Action water bottle sticker (teachers and staff, be sure to grab one too!).

Does your child have a service project idea?  Whether they’ve already completed a project or are just starting to brainstorm, we want to hear about it!  No project is too small to make a difference.  We are here to help bring their ideas to life, and we’d love to recognize their dedication with an Aid & Action merit pin.

Merit Pin Standings

We are thrilled to celebrate our growing list of merit pin recipients. A special shout out to our first two Aid & Action Ambassadors, who have earned all three pins:

  • Laurel N. (3rd Grade)
  • Nai S. (2nd Grade)

Note: If you believe your child is missing from our list or is missing a specific pin, please reach out so we can update our records!

The Fight Against Food Insecurity

Support PS 169’s Food Pantry
Please consider donating to the food pantry at PS 169, one of our sister schools.  This community holds a special place in our hearts, as it is where Ms. Joanna served as Assistant Principal for five years.  This past December, our volunteers helped spread joy by sending their kindergarten class wrapped sticker books, let’s keep that support going!

Weekly CHiPS Collections: Make it a Wednesday Habit!

Don’t forget, our dedicated CHiPS crew is stationed right outside the school’s main entrance every Wednesday morning during drop off.

Supporting our neighbors at CHiPS has never been easier.  As you head to school, simply toss a few extra items in your bag to help stock their pantry.

What we’re looking for: While all non-perishables are welcome, we are currently in high demand for staples such as:

Every single can or box makes a difference for a family in our community. Let’s show up strong this Wednesday!

Bundles of Hope: Join the Packing Party!

A huge thank you to everyone who has already donated supplies to our Bundles of Hope campaign.  These essential items will provide much needed support and dignity to women in our community.

We need a few more hands!  Our student volunteers will be gathering to assemble the kits Friday, February 27th, at 6PM at the Schmidt household.  It’s going to be a great night of packing, pizza, and community service.

  • Current Openings: Only 9 spots left!
  • How to Join: Sign up now via Konstella.

We can't wait to see you there for a night of pizza and purpose!

Upcoming Event: "10 Things I Love About PS 124"

Get ready for a night of movie trivia hosted by Julia Stiles!  Tickets for this special event will go on sale later this week.  Stay tuned for details, you won’t want to miss it!

Thank you for being an Active Citizen!
