It is heartbreaking to see the devastating news out of Turkey and Syria in the aftermath of the earthquakes earlier this week. As the death toll rises and chilling images continue to highlight the enormity of this catastrophic event, many families have asked What can we do to help?
In the spirit of sending love and support to the community, there will be a school-wide Bake Sale held on Tuesday, 2/14 (Valentine's Day) from 2:30-5:30 PM, with all proceeds to be donated to Bridge to Turkiye Fund and White Helmets to help those in Turkey and northern Syria. Many thanks to Elif Karakurt Franco, Olga Morkova, and Vanessa Sparling for spearheading this effort!
We also encourage direct donations to the above organizations, or the ones listed below. Many companies have kicked off matching campaigns, so check out if your employer offers additional options to help support relief in Turkey and Syria.

Volunteers are needed for the bake sale! Calling all bakers!
Whether you contribute baked goods, your time as a volunteer, or paper product donations, we appreciate any and all efforts to help make this happen. If you cannot make the bake sale, feel free to drop off baked goods at school the morning of 2/14.
