Books & Winter Clothing Drive, Plus Drivers Needed
Fri, Nov 13 3:47pm
South Brooklyn Mutual Aid is a key partner in our support for PS 169.
They have a great operation going during these hard times. If you're looking to donate items or can pack and drive grocery deliveries, see below:
South Brooklyn Mutual Aid Is Collecting ...
-winter clothes for kids ages 5-10 years old
-coats/boots/shoes for 5-10 year olds
-books for kids
-new diapers, hygiene products
The donations will be redistributed at a "free store" in Sunset Park on Saturday, November 21st, and in an ongoing manner through SBMA's weekly food deliveries.
If you'd like to make a donation, please fill out this form.
South Brooklyn Mutual will follow up with you and determine where you should bring your donation.
Drop-offs will be at the Brooklyn Army Terminal, a business on 41st and 5th, or on November 21st in Sunset Park.
Questions, please contact Sophia Sutcliffe, who is coordinating the effort for South Brooklyn Mutual Aid.
If you have donations after Nov. 21st, they'll still take them! Just contact Sophia.
Plus They Need Drivers ...
If you would like to help assemble food boxes or drive deliveries, please fill out this form. We've heard that drivers are needed this weekend. You'd pick up a box of groceries from BK Army Terminal at 1pm, then make the delivery.
Thank you,
The Community Outreach Committee
