CHiPS + Robert Carroll Donations - 5/10!
Mon, May 8 8:02pm

Hi everyone,

Sending out a friendly reminder about our weekly CHiPS food donation/collection on Wednesday, 5/10.  Families can bring donations Wednesday morning during drop-off at the Main Entrance and they will be driven to CHiPS immediately after (for early drop-off and Math Magic attendees, donations can be left in the main entrance way)

Any amount helps!

This list of items is urgently needed for daily breakfast and lunch served to over 400 people, as well as pantry items and to help supplement the meals they put out from their kitchen.

Please label all prepared items - we welcome anything that is nutritious and can be easily handed out.

In addition to the CHiPS food donation, there has been a sharp increase in asylum seekers into the local shelter system, with many children arriving at our local schools without basic supplies. Assemblymember Robert Carroll is accepting donations at his local District Office at 416 7th Avenue, this Monday – Friday from 9:30am-4:30pm (see attached flyer).

We will collect diapers, wipes, and new/gently used (clean) seasonal children's clothing and shoes during our 5/10 CHiPS collection this week. We will drop off these donations at Assemblymember Carroll's office following Wednesday drop-off, but we encourage everyone to take a look at the donation list and drop off applicable donations at his office throughout this week! We are also working on a collection during this weekend's Art Day (more to follow)!

Note: If you would like to get more involved in the weekly donations, whether to help sort in the morning and/or drive over donations to CHiPS, please send an email to brittany@ps107.org and sarah@ps107.org

For anyone unable to make it this week, we’ll collect again next week! Also please consider online support at chipsonline.org/ donate, and you can find a list of specific needs for the CHiPS Soup Kitchen on this Amazon wish list.

Thank you!
