D15 Diversity Plan - Public Workshop #2
Tue, Mar 13 6:30pm-8:30pm
Sunset Park High School, 153 35th Street
Hello all,
As many already know, School District 15 has embarked on a community engaged Diversity Planning Process led by the DOE as part of the Equity and Excellence for All Initiative the DOE rolled out in June, 2017.  The First Public Workshop was held on Tuesday, February 13th and was attended by over 200 community members.  This workshop introduced the goal and the planning process of the D15 Diversity Plan.  You can access the following link for more information on the D15 Diversity Plan:  www.d15diversityplan.com

The 2nd Public Workshop will be held on Tuesday, March 13th from 6:30 pm - 8:30 pm at Sunset Park High School located on 153 35th Street in Sunset Park.  Doors will open at 6 pm and there will be food, childcare,
and free metrocards.  Public Workshop #2 will provide  another opportunity for community members to share their ideas to create diverse and meaningfully integrated and equitable middle schools. The goal of this workshop is to frame the conversation of diversity and equity by using the insights gathered from community members. This will allow the Working Group to begin to develop possible initiatives and actions. (See the above D15 Diversity Plan link for Working Group participants).
Please register on the link below for Public Workshop #2.  We look forward to seeing you all on March 13th.
