You know the phrase "it takes a village."
Well, unfortunately, in these past 9 months, our PS 107 village has been locked up in their homes, denying us the ability to get to know each other.
Through volunteering at events like Fall Festival.
Through Family Fridays.
Through sharing an embarrassed sigh when picking up our kid after lice check.
The thing is, it's through these small interactions that we establish our community, united in our common goal of making our school the best we can.
Why are we saying this?
- We miss interacting with people other than our families. (No offense families...)
- We sometimes need help and don't know who to ask.
Since we haven't been able to see each other, we haven't been able to get to know each other and what we do for fun, for work, for a hobby. And thus, we haven't been able to harness those skills to help the school.
If you have a skill that you wouldn't mind sharing with us, it would be a tremendous asset to be able to utilize when needed. We especially need:
- Graphic designers
- Web Developers
- Anything else that might feel appropriate. Except clowns. No clowns.*
If you're interested in sharing your skills with us, send a note to Ted at email@example.com and let us know!

* Watch, there's totally going to be a clown parent and we're in such deep trouble. Apologies in advance.
