Our Earth month activities went into early May… April is not long enough!

On Friday, we completed our Terracycle collection. The 5th grade green team sorted almost 50 pounds of hard-to-recycle squeeze pouches, old socks, and torn/stained kids clothes. The team will meet again soon to choose which causes to support with the points earned. Thank you 5th grade and Mr. Ed!

Sunday rain cancelled our park clean up, and we hope to reschedule! Thanks to all who signed up.
Having a class party or other school event? We have removed single use plastics from the supply closet, and have improved access to reusables.
-
Going forward, any food service items (cups, utensils, plates) should be paper/wood/bamboo or reusable (borrowed from the closest, washed, and returned).
-
Please do not purchase any single use plastic for class or school events. We will not store them and they will be donated.
-
Class party guidance is here, including how to borrow reusables.
We are doing this to be good teachers to our kids and stewards of their planet. We appreciate the cooperation. If you have any needs or questions, the green committee is excited and ready to help.
Lost and found items in the closet:
-
White ceramic square platter from someone who brought babka (yum!)
-
White plastic cupcake holder that goes inside a cake holder (you probably miss this!)
-
We’ll hold onto these items for a week before donating. Contact Kajal if these are yours - kajalpatelbelow@gmail.com
