Dear PS 107 families,
Welcome to the unusual, but still great, 2020 school year!
As you may know, September 15th to October 15th is Latin Heritage month and the Diversity Committee would like to help you and your family find ways to learn more about Latin heritage. Due to the delayed start of the school year, PS 107 will be celebrating Latin Heritage Month until the conclusion of Día de Muertos (Day of the Dead) on November 2.
One way to learn more about Latin heritage is to read books about Latin culture on Epic. Simply type “Latin” into the search bar and you and your child will have access to many wonderful books! The Diversity Committee has also put together some resources below for your family to use during remote learning over the course of the next four weeks; we hope you’ll take a look at them. Please note that the YouTube videos linked below do have commercials.
Thank you for taking the time to read through this!
In solidarity,
The PS 107 Diversity Committee
