2026-27 PTA Executive Board:

A Board of parent volunteers oversees the PTA's activities. Board members are elected to two-year terms and, in many cases, serve with a co-chair who has already been in the position for one year. Board members attend monthly Board meetings, as well as the monthly PTA meetings. Check out the different board positions on the website here: https://www.ps107.org/about-pta#board

School Leadership Team (SLT):

The SLT is a school steering committee that identifies and discusses issues such as curriculum, school procedures and policies, and future growth. It comprises the principal, the PTA president, a UFT representative, elected parents, and teachers. Elected parent reps serve a two-year term, with openings for 2 parents to join the committee each year. SLT meetings are held once a month in the afternoon. The meetings cover the curriculum, school procedures and policies, and any other emergent issues affecting the school. Parent reps serve as an ear to the ground for the community at large -- we maintain an email account (sltparents@ps107.org) where any parent can bring up something they'd like addressed by the committee and we do our best to advocate for their needs. You can learn more about SLT here.

If either the PTA Board or SLT positions require elections, those will take place at our PTA Meeting, Thursday, May 21st at 9am on Zoom
