Dear Families,

It has come to our attention that a parent in the PS 107 school community has tested positive for COVID-19.  The children have been out of school since Tuesday and although they are not exhibiting any symptoms their pediatrician has made arrangements to have them tested.

Upon receiving this notification from the family the school immediately reached out to the Superintendent's office. The Superintendent's office has stated that school will remain open.

Action we have already taken include removal of students from the two classrooms that may have been affected while these classrooms have been deep cleaned with special viral killing chemicals. Tonight the entire building will be deep cleaned with these same chemicals. Additional custodial support has been dispatched to the school to insure the cleaning is thorough.

Anyone who chooses to pick up their child from school or keep their child home is welcome to do so at this time.

We will continue to update you on the situation.

Please look out for additional correspondence from Sandy Phillips regarding after school.
