Dear PS 107 Families,
Today, one positive case of COVID was reported to me. The individual was last in the building yesterday, 3/17. Families of students who were in close contact with this individual have already been notified by me directly via email (not Konstella). This case also involved exposure to the afterschool community, and Sandy Phillips will be notifying families about that.
Though we do anticipate continuing to see the occasional case of COVID, we are hoping to avoid the number of cases we've seen across these last two weeks. The numbers are definitely moving in a promising direction!
Today, we are once again sending home COVID test kits with every PS 107 student, unless they have recovered from COVID in the last 90 days. We are recommending a slightly different testing schedule than usual to catch cases before students come to school. Please administer the first test on Sunday evening or Monday morning. Please administer the second test on Thursday evening. You do not need to report the results to us unless they are positive, in which case, please reach out to me and Pamela Rosenberg.
The official DOE notification about the positive case is attached. As always, please reach out with questions or concerns.
Have a lovely weekend!
