Important Reminders for the Upcoming Week
Sun, Feb 27 4:49pm

Dear PS 107 Families,

I hope that you had a lovely mid-winter recess and that your children feel rested and restored and ready to return to school tomorrow! After two years of not being able to do so, my daughter and I were finally able to visit my mother in Florida. The trip left me cautiously optimistic that we are starting to see COVID receding.

As you may have heard, the New York City Department of Education has lifted the outdoor mask mandate for students and staff when on school property. The CDC has also issued new guidance regarding indoor mask-wearing, though New York State has not yet made any changes to their indoor mask-wearing guidance. If New York State makes changes, it will then be up to the NYC DOE to determine whether to issue new guidance for all schools. I will continue to keep you updated on these policies.

Please remember to administer an at-home COVID test to your children before they return to school tomorrow. We strongly encourage you to administer the test in order to continue to keep our school community COVID-free, although you do not need to report negative results to us. Of course, if your child tests positive, please let Pamela Rosenberg and me know as soon as possible.

Finally, report cards will be released to your child's New York City Schools Account (NYCSA) this Wednesday, March 2nd. Thursday, March 3rd is a half day, with dismissal at 11:40 am, and teachers are scheduling Parent-Teacher Conferences for Thursday afternoon and Thursday evening. If you would like to schedule a conference with one of our cluster teachers, please reach out to them directly via email to set up a time:

I will be sharing my winter parent letter later this week with additional details on report cards, Parent-Teacher Conferences, and more.

All of us at PS 107 are looking forward to welcoming your children back to school tomorrow!

my best,

Ms Joanna
