Inspired by a 4th Grader

Naima Kurfirst, a PS107 4th grader, recently contributed $315.75 to the Annual Fund in a truly creative way. After winning a contest at Art Day, she earned the opportunity to showcase and sell her work at a small gallery in Brooklyn - and chose to give a portion of her proceeds back to her school. Her generosity is a powerful reminder that giving can take many forms, and that every contribution, no matter the size, can make a meaningful impact.

As we look ahead, we have just three months remaining in our Annual Fund campaign, and we still have $27,000 left to raise toward our $225,000 goal.

Inspired by Naima, there are so many ways families and students can get involved:

  • Children might host a lemonade stand or bake sale as the weather warms up

  • Students can take on small service projects—like yard work, pet care, or tutoring—and donate a portion of their earnings

  • Families can reach out to friends and extended family who may want to support the school community

  • Consider celebrating a birthday or milestone by asking for donations in lieu of gifts

  • Host a small sip and support in your backyard, stoop, or living room among your community/friends

Of course, participation doesn’t have to look like a fundraiser. A direct gift - at any level - is deeply appreciated and essential to helping us reach our goal.

Here’s how to give:

  • Give online via Konstella

  • Write a check to “PS 107 PTA” and hand it to Ms. Nadia in the office

  • Make a gift of stock

  • If your employer offers a matching gifts benefit, secure a corporate match

  • Send this public link to any non-Konstella users in your orbit who might want to support your child's school

What matters most is that every family participates in a way that is meaningful for them. All funds support every single student at PS 107 to grow and thrive!

Thank you for being part of this community and for all the ways you support our school.
