The lice check that was scheduled for tomorrow will be rescheduled to January 13. 

The PTA organizes school-wide lice checks as needed throughout the school year.  The DOE has a “no head lice” policy for all NYC public schools, but no longer a “no nit” policy. Students found to have live head lice will be sent home and not allowed to return until they are lice-free. Students with nits and no evidence of live head lice will not be excluded from school. However, as a courtesy to parents, if your child is found to have nits during one of the lice checks, you will be informed. 

We ask families who can to submit a one-time payment of $15/student for these professional lice-checks. If you haven’t already contributed this year, you can submit payment here.
