Lunar New Year Luncheon: Come Celebrate Sun, Feb 11 @ Hunan Delight
Wed, Jan 31 3:36pm

Dear families,

The AAPI (Asian American & Pacific Islander) Affinity Group would like to wish our entire school community a happy Lunar New Year and Year of the Dragon! Lunar New Year is the celebration of a new year in many Asian countries. This year Lunar New Year begins on February 10, 2024, and festivities typically span several days.

Celebrations and traditions vary across cultures. Be on the lookout next week as each student will receive a zine created by PS107’s AAPI students that explores different Lunar New Year customs in China, Indonesia, Korea, Malaysia, the Philippines, Singapore, Tibet, and Vietnam.

On Sunday, February 11th, AAPI Affinity Group will host a Lunar New Year luncheon at beloved local restaurant, Hunan Delight. All are welcome to join! Find out more and purchase your tickets HERE.

There are also many other opportunities to participate in Lunar New Year festivities. Below, you’ll find:

Warm wishes,

Your AAPI Affinity Group
